First-Year Undergraduate Students

  • Housing is guaranteed for first-year students.
  • The First-Year Housing Application opens in May and is due in June.

Undergraduate Transfer Students

  • Housing is guaranteed for transfer students.
  • For Fall enrollment, the Transfer Housing Application opens in May and is due in July.
  • For Spring enrollment, the Spring Housing Application opens in October and is due in December.

Returning Undergraduate Students

  • While housing is not guaranteed for returning undergraduate students, we have historically been able to offer housing to all students that complete an application.
  • The Returning Undergraduate Student Housing Application opens in B Term and is due in C Term.
    • All current undergraduate students will have access to the application, including those that will be a graduate student for the upcoming year.
  • Housing Selection takes place during D Term.

Graduate Students

  • Housing is not guaranteed for graduate students.
  • Newly admitted graduate students who will be coming to WPI for the first time will receive priority for graduate housing.
    • Current WPI students (whether at the graduate or undergraduate level) may only complete a waitlist application, which will not be considered until July.
  • For Fall enrollment, the Graduate Housing Application opens in February and assignments are given on a rolling basis until the beginning of the Fall semester.
  • For Spring enrollment, the Graduate Housing Application opens in October and is due in November.

Set up Your WPI Account:

You need to set up your WPI account before you can login to the housing portal.

You should have received an email from its@wpi.edu about setting up your WPI account (subject line: Set Up Your WPI Account – Action Required.) It takes up to 24 hours for your account to be accessible after you set it up.

Be sure to check your spam folder, or email its@wpi.edu for help. Please allow up to 24 hours for a response due to the current high email volume.
